There aren’t too many footballers who had a better 2016, man or woman, than our very own Carli Lloyd and today she was rewarded today by soccer’s highest governing body FIFA and named the Best Women’s Player for 2016.

This is the second time she’s been named the best in the world, in as many years.

Carli scored 17 goals and had 11 assists in 21 National Team games.
